It’s been a long time since I visited the Weight Watchers meeting I used to attend weekly (unless I had other plans). I stopped going for a few months to really disconnect myself from the diet mentality. The break really did help and I feel like I’ve made leaps and bounds in creating a healthier relationship with food and my body. Even still, I miss the friends that I made there over the 2 1/2 years I visited my Saturday morning meeting, so I’m off to the meeting to see how everyone is and to share my success thus far.
I wanted to be able to eat breakfast at the meeting so that I can literally roll out of bed, into my gym clothes, and into my car. Last night, I prepared some overnight oats.
In the mix:
- 1/3 cup dry rolled oats
- 1/3 cup Almond Breeze
- 1/2 cup plain fat free greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup fat free cottage cheese
- vanilla extract
- 1/2 overripe banana
- chia seeds
- ground flax seeds
- almond butter
- sliced almonds
This morning, I added some blueberries. Yumm-o!

After the meeting, Gia and I are going to Healthworks for a gym date. I’m excited to catch up!
